Outreach

  • Community

Who We Are: The Helping Hand Project’s Outreach team aims to connect the club with the families and the greater community

Elementary School Visit: Last semester we were able to go out to a local elementary school and teach the students about our club as well as about the upper limb difference community. To teach them about the upper limb difference community we read them a story and did a hand-stringing craft with them. The craft aimed to show the students how the hand worked using a cutout hand some cut straws and string.

  • Partnerships

Percentage Night: We are proud to be partnering with Chipotle for our percentage night! This event will take place on March 6th and will serve the purpose of supporting funds for the Helping Hand Project. 33% of the profits from this event will help our club afford 3D printing supplies, supplies for care packages sent out to families, and other club logistics.

Trader Joes: In the past, we were able to partner with Trader Joes to provide snacks and drinks for the spring support event with the kids and their families. We are hoping to partner with them again this semester for the Helping Hand Project Conference, which we are proud to be hosting this year.

  • Our Team

Overall Goals: Our team is interested in planning and executing more events like the elementary school visit that we had last semester. We’d love to expand our community partnerships and spread the word of our mission as well.
